ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System accreditation awarded to Oxford Advanced Surfaces Group plc
OXFORD, England--(NEWS ITEM) -- Oxford Advanced Surfaces Group Plc (OAS), the advanced materials company, announced today that it has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 standard for its internal quality management systems. ISO 9001:2008 is the internationally recognised standard for an organisation's internal Quality Management. The term 'quality' refers to all those features of a product or service which are required by the customer. An organisation's 'Quality Management' refers to an organisation's actions to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers' quality requirements and complies with any regulations applicable to those products or services.
OAS' Quality Management System, which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, applies to the scope "To develop and licence intellectual property for the use of advanced materials in the areas of adhesion and surface coatings. Key end application markets will focus on structural adhesion, composite materials, optical coatings and enhanced particle binding." The certificate of award to OAS is FS 543683.
