OAS makes its TV debut on BBC news

The Oxford Advanced Surfaces team took composites to a mainstream audience this week as we made our TV debut on the BBC Oxford News.

The two-minute new piece was aired as part of the early evening news on 25 May and was watched by a total audience of 229,000 people in the BBC Oxford catchment area.

CEO Philip Spinks and Technology Manager Jon-Paul Griffiths were interviewed about the Innovate UK grant we have recently received to conduct a feasibility study – in conjunction with our friends at the University of Manchester – into how recycled carbon fibre can be treated and used to create new lightweight composites for the automotive industry.
