Oxford Advanced Surfaces recorded more industry awards success this month when we were named as a finalist at the 2016 Automotive Global Awards.
Our ‘enabling lightweighting in automotive manufacture’ entry highlighted the benefits that niche and high-volume automotive manufacturers can enjoy when using our patented Onto™ technology platform to solve coating and bonding challenges as they drive towards realising their vehicle lightweighting targets.
The Automotive Global Awards were held on Wednesday, 9 November at Claridge’s in London and our Onto™ platform was shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Product Innovation’ category.
Securing our place as an Automotive Global Awards finalist brought the curtain down on a memorable year for OAS in various industry award categories.
We have won or been named as a finalist in six different sets of awards in 2016, including the Rushlight Awards that recognise the development and deployment of clean technologies, innovation and sustainable solutions, and the British Engineering Excellence Awards that reward design innovation.
“It’s been an encouraging year for OAS and it’s been great to see so many industry awards schemes recognising the value of the coating and bonding technologies that we have developed,” OAS Chief Executive officer, Philip Spinks said.
“This is an exciting stage in the development of our company. We’re just about to make our debut on a production car and there are currently 41 companies evaluating our products, from niche vehicle manufacturers through to global Tier 1s and OEMs. This is a great endorsement for our Onto™ technology and its suitability across various applications.”
