Oxford Advanced Surfaces could be about to scoop another award after being shortlisted in the ‘Innovation and Creativity’ category at the Cherwell Business Awards.
The awards recognise the hard work, dedication and achievements of employers, employees and entrepreneurs in North Oxfordshire and the OAS team will find out whether it’s been successful when the award winners are announced on 20 May.
OAS has been recognised for developing its Onto™ SB1000 adhesion promoter that is used to prepare advanced materials for bonding with common engineering adhesives.
Its effectiveness at improving bonding to a wide range of substrates, ease of application and ability to be integrated into fully automated equipment particularly impressed the award judges. OAS also had to demonstrate the commercial success, business benefits and customer benefits of its Onto™ technology in its award submission.
“It’s great to be shortlisted for a Cherwell Business Award because it shows that the qualities of our adhesion promoters are instantly recognisable to people that are not at the heart of the industries we operate in. That’s a great endorsement for us,” Oxford Advanced Surfaces CEO, Philip Spinks, explained.
“We hope we’ll be successful when the final winner is announced on the 20th and that we can add a Cherwell Business Award to the Rushlight Clean Energy Award we were presented with in February.”
